New Year 2006

As we enter the year of OUR LORD 2006, don't we all
tend to pause and think of the previous year. What we
might have accomplished with our lives. What will be
written in the Lamb's Book of Life. How do we honestly
feel about our actions this past year. What do we
determine to change in our lives to better serve the
Lamb of God, Jesus, our Savior.

Satan will deploy any means to destroy a Christian. He
does not want us to be powerful or we overcome him, just
as Jesus did. So how does Satan try to destroy us?
By circumstances we encounter each day. Were you angry,
envious, slanderous toward another of His Creation today?
Were you a glutton? ( the word meaning ...one who eats
or consumes immoderate amounts). If you continue to
eat without conscious thought or need to fuel your body
for action , then the devil is winning the game in this area
too. The overweight will cause us to be lethargic (a state .
of sluggishness, inactivity and apathy) and break down
our body. In this state of being, our precious life's time
will be spent on health concerns instead of spiritual
concerns. Please remember that we are in a contest
of wills. Our will meaning the mental faculty by which
one deliberately chooses a course of action.

The LORD said He would not leave us defenseless, so
put on the full armour of GOD that He has so graciously
provided and remember what He said about our
interaction with others.

"Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of
these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
Matthew 25:40.

"Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to
stand against the wiles of the devil."
Ephesians 6: 11.

"And, behold I come quickly; and my reward is with me,
to give every man according as his work shall be."
Revelation 22: 12.

"I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to
reward a man according to his conduct, according to
what his deeds deserve."
Jeremiah 17:10.
